About Sensory Robotics
Modern safety for modern cells™
Automation changed. Safety has not kept up. Most legacy systems were built for static work cells, fixed access points, and clear lines of sight. Today’s factories run mixed traffic, frequent changeovers, shared work areas, and mobile platforms. Those conditions expose the limits of fencing, light curtains, and 2D area scanning
Why we exist
Automation changed. Safety has not kept up. Most legacy systems were built for static work cells, fixed access points, and clear lines of sight. Today’s factories run mixed traffic, frequent changeovers, shared work areas, and mobile platforms. Those conditions expose the limits of fencing, light curtains, and 2D area scanning
What we build
Sensory Robotics exists to help manufacturers deploy automation that stays safe and productive when real operations get messy—people, robots, AMRs, obstructions, and changing layouts in the same space.
What we replace
Our flagship product is SR-1, a 3D time-of-flight sensing system designed for industrial environments. SR-1 uses 3D sensing and software to detect people in the workspace and drive consistent safety behavior—so robots can operate with planned access instead of relying on large restricted zones and hard guarding.
Who we serve
We support the teams that own safety and uptime in automated environments. System integrators use SR-1 to deliver repeatable, auditable safety designs. Robot and AMR OEMs use it to scale safe operation across platforms. EHS and safety engineers rely on it for predictable behavior and validation-ready documentation. Plant operations and manufacturing engineering teams adopt it to improve access and reduce nuisance stops as cells change.
How we work
We start with your layout and operating reality, then align zones and safety behavior to your risk assessment. We integrate into standard safety architectures and help document design intent, commissioning tests, and change control so the system stays defensible over time. We support you through design, commissioning, and expansion with a focus on predictable behavior and repeatable deployments.
How can we help
If you’re building shared-space automation—or trying to modernize a cell that has outgrown legacy guarding—talk with us. We’ll review your application, outline a standards-aligned approach, and show SR-1 running in a scenario similar to your environment.
